Dragon Boat Festival holiday, the national consumer market is running smoothly.

Journalists learned from the Ministry of Commerce on the 21st that during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, the national consumer market operated steadily, with ample supply and stable prices of daily necessities. Ministry of Commerce big data showed that as of June 20, 1.36 million people benefitted from the old-for-new exchange program for consumer goods in 2026, driving sales exceeding 1 trillion yuan. Among them, 3.428 million cars were sold through the old-for-new program, generating sales of 555.24 billion yuan; 132.895 million household appliances, digital products, and smart devices were sold through the old-for-new program, leading to sales of 451.63 billion yuan. Daily necessities markets across the country have sufficient supply and overall stable prices. According to the Ministry of Commerce data, during the holiday, inventories in 200 large-scale agricultural product wholesale markets nationwide were sufficient, and prices of grains, oil, meat, and fruits remained basically stable compared to before the holiday.
