On the 21st, the reporter learned from the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism that during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, Beijing received a total of 8.466 million visitors and achieved a total tourism expenditure of 11.35 billion yuan. The inbound tourism market remained hot, with Beijing receiving 87,000 inbound tourists, an increase of 31.2% year-on-year, and achieving an inbound tourist spending of 9.5 billion yuan, an increase of 31.4% year-on-year. During this year's Dragon Boat Festival holiday, Beijing adopted the theme of "Enjoying the Dragon Boat Festival, Exploring Beijing" and launched five major sections with around 2000 special cultural and tourism activities. The Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism released 10 themed routes under the theme of "Enjoying the Suburbs of Beijing, Roaming in the Summer", promoting the trend of parent-child trips and mini-vacations during the holiday. Events such as the Front Gate Guofeng Festival and the Modaokou Guochao Culture Festival attracted a large number of young people with trendy activities, while traditional events like the Dragon Boat race immersed citizens and tourists in the unique charm of traditional customs. In terms of performances, during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, Beijing held a total of 280 commercial performances with 1136 sessions, including intensive events such as the 2026 National Grand Theatre International Theatre Season and the 2026 Fourth Tianqiao Dance Performance Season, bringing a series of high-quality performances to the audience. The "Riverup" water landscape poetry and music project integrates water curtains, lasers, and live performances to create a new canal night cruise experience; Beihai Park incorporates traditional music performances and Kunqu Opera into its classical garden settings, unlocking a new way of night tours. "Following the Exhibitions to Explore Beijing" has become a new trend for holiday outings. The Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism launched 10 exhibition-themed tour routes, linking more than 20 exhibitions such as the "Thus Spoke Mogao" Dunhuang Art Exhibition with surrounding cultural venues, historical districts, and specialty business areas, effectively promoting street and business district cultural tourism consumption.
