Due to the influence of upstream water and rainfall, the Liu River has experienced the first numbered flood of 2026. The hydrological center of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region has upgraded the flood warning to orange, predicting that the Jinjiang River section in the Chengqu area of Hechi City will exceed the alert level by about 4 meters, the Liujiang River section in the Chengqu area of Liuzhou City will exceed the alert level by about 2 meters, and the Guijiang River section in the Chengqu area of Guilin City will experience a flood approaching the warning level. Combined with meteorological and hydrological analysis and prediction, after comprehensive analysis and judgment, the Department of Water Resources of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region has decided to elevate the flood defense emergency response level from level four to level three for Hechi, Liuzhou, Guilin and other three cities from 9:00 on June 21.
