World Health Organization officials: The situation of the Ebola epidemic remains serious.

On the 19th local time, the emergency event director for the World Health Organization's Africa Regional Office, Dr. Zerboni, stated that as of now, the Democratic Republic of Congo has reported 896 confirmed cases of Ebola and 232 deaths. Uganda has not reported any new cases for 12 consecutive days.
