The Gongjialiang Tunnel in the Chengdu-Chongqing section of the Western Chongqing High-Speed Railway has been successfully completed.
On the 19th, after three years of construction, the Gongjialiang Tunnel on the Ankang to Chongqing section of the West Chongqing High-Speed Railway, which was built by China Railway 24th Bureau, completed the final excavation operation, successfully achieving breakthrough, laying a solid foundation for the completion and opening of the entire West Chongqing High-Speed Railway. It is understood that the West Chongqing High-Speed Railway, with a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour, is an important part of China's "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed railway network, including the Beijing-Kunming corridor and the Baoji-Hai corridor. After the completion and opening of the line, it will be connected to the already operational Chengdu to Chongqing High-Speed Railway, Zhengzhou to Chongqing High-Speed Railway, as well as the under-construction Chongqing to Kunming High-Speed Railway and Xi'an to Yan'an High-Speed Railway, promoting further improvement of the road network structure in the central and western regions and greatly facilitating the travel of the people along the line.
