The first day of the Dragon Boat Festival holiday in the Yangtze River Delta railway region ushered in a peak in passenger flow. On June 19th, the reporter learned from China Railway Shanghai Group Limited Company that today is the Dragon Boat Festival, the first day of the holiday, and the Yangtze River Delta railway is expected to welcome a peak in holiday passenger flow, with an estimated 4.15 million passengers expected to be sent. Based on the peak operation schedule, Shanghai Railway Group has increased capacity on key sections, key time periods, and popular directions. It plans to open 65 additional direct trains from the Yangtze River Delta region to Wuhan, Nanchang, Xi'an, Luoyang, Qingdao, etc., and 152 trains from Shanghai to Xuzhou, Lianyungang, Hefei, Fuyang, Wenzhou, etc., for a total of 217 additional trains. They have organized 312 coupled EMU trains and added 64 ordinary passenger cars to meet the travel needs of holiday passengers.
