Amazon is currently in talks to sell its custom-designed artificial intelligence chips for use in other companies' data centers. This is a key expansion move in its efforts to weaken NVIDIA's dominant position. The head of Amazon's AI business said the company has started discussing with potential customers but refused to disclose specific names and believes that AI infrastructure is rapidly evolving. Amazon's third-generation AI accelerator, Trainium, has been mostly sold out and strong interest has been generated for the fourth-generation product expected to be launched next year.
