The first national public data product transaction for soil and water conservation has been realized.

Journalists learned from the Ministry of Water Resources that the Anhui Division of the "Data Element X" Competition in 2026 kicked off in Hefei on June 18th, where the first national public data product transaction for soil and water conservation was successfully launched. During the event, five units including Anhui Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Survey, Design and Research Co., Ltd. were awarded the "Soil and Water Conservation Public Data Product Transaction Certificate." This transaction has paved the way for the conversion of "data resources" to "data assets" in the soil and water conservation field nationwide, injecting momentum into the digital transformation of the water resources industry and providing a replicable and scalable path for the market-based allocation reform of national soil and water conservation data resources. "The first transaction is a breakthrough in nurturing new productive forces in the field of soil and water conservation, not only clearing the bottleneck of data compliance supply, but also driving data governance to improve quality through market mechanisms, enabling data to truly 'come alive, be used, and run' under the premise of being safe and controllable." said a spokesperson from the Anhui Soil and Water Conservation Monitoring Station.
