The chairman of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Mr. Liao Lin, met with the Managing Director of the Monetary Authority of Singapore, Mrs. Tharman Shanmugaratnam.
On June 16, Chairman of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) Liao Lin met with Managing Director of Monetary Authority of Singapore Ravi Menon, the two sides carried out in-depth exchanges on topics such as supporting economic and trade cooperation between China and Singapore, and promoting the high-quality development of ICBC in Singapore. ICBC Singapore Branch is the first operational branch established by ICBC overseas, holding a full banking license granted by the Monetary Authority of Singapore, serving as the RMB clearing bank for Chinese capital in Singapore, and also the largest overseas institution of ICBC in the ASEAN market. ICBC will rely on its global operating network to continue to play a role in platforms such as RMB clearing bank, BRBR, etc., actively serving Chinese enterprises investing in Singapore, Singapore enterprises expanding into China, further deepening exchanges and cooperation with counterparts in Singapore, and contributing greater efforts to economic and trade financial exchanges between the two countries.
