Shadow stone executives speak out: during the patent litigation, they were attacked by a black water army, and a large number of abnormal accounts emerged.
Yuan Yue, the head of innovation in China at Shadow Stone, released a long article, stating that shortly after filing a patent infringement claim against a certain competitor, the company was intensively attacked by organized black PR forces. The company found that within 24 hours of the lawsuit announcement, more than 1490 abnormal accounts emerged on various platforms, all posting highly similar comments. These accounts showed obvious signs of being created in bulk, such as sharing the same IP address, similar homepages, concentrated posting times, and consistent comment phrasing. Yuan Yue believes that it is not uncommon for product-related black PR forces in the automotive and digital industries, but launching an organized public opinion attack on a case still in legal proceedings crosses a line. "The acceptance of a case by the court is just the beginning of the litigation process, but black PR forces and their backers are trying to skip the filing, evidence gathering, trial, and judgment stages, and directly pin the label of 'plagiarism and infringement' on the enterprise."
