The Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission is seeking an acquisition order against the former chairman of Thai Life Insurance Limited.
On June 17th, the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong stated in a document that legal proceedings are being initiated in the original High Court to seek a court order requiring the former chairman, executive director, and non-executive director of Thailand Insurance Limited, Wu Yu, to acquire the company's shares held by the public. Wu Yu is suspected of breaching fiduciary duty, ultimately leading the company to be delisted after it was suspended from trading.
