Heavy losses are weighing on Rivian (RIVN.US), which has just delivered new cars and is now turning around to lay off employees.

According to the Tech Times app, shortly after the new electric vehicles began delivery, Rivian Automotive (RIVN.US) laid off hundreds of people to reduce costs. A company spokesperson stated that the number of layoffs accounted for less than 2% of the total number of employees, mainly concentrated in the service and customer operations departments. At the end of last year, Rivian had over 15,200 employees.
