According to reports, Intel has announced that the upgraded version of its 18A process node, "18A-P," has officially entered the risk production stage. The Intel 18A-P process is based on the 18A process that went into production in the fourth quarter of last year, optimized for the production of data center CPUs, as well as AI and high-performance computing semiconductors. Compared to 18A, 18A-P offers up to a 9% performance increase at the same power consumption; and up to an 18% reduction in power consumption at the same performance level. In addition, Intel plans to use 18A-P to produce the "Diamond Rapids" CPU chip, expected to be released next year.
