The Ebola epidemic in the Democratic Republic of Congo "has not yet peaked".
Officials from the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies said on the 16th that the Ebola outbreak in the Congo has not yet reached its peak, and may even last for another year. It is difficult to determine the extent of the spread of the epidemic. I believe the peak of the epidemic has not yet arrived. We are concerned that it may take another year before the epidemic ends." According to data released by the Congolese government on the 15th, since the outbreak of Ebola on May 15th, the number of confirmed cases in the country has reached 808, with 192 deaths.
