A reporter asked: For the enthusiastic participation of people from all walks of life in Taiwan in this year's Strait Forum, the Taiwan Affairs Office said that the Strait Forum is nothing but a "mainland platform for Taiwan's united front"; however, public opinion in Taiwan pointed out that the Democratic Progressive Party blindly uses labels to cover up the facts and kill normal communication, which is the cognitive warfare happening in Taiwan, what is your comment on this? Spokesperson Chen Binhua said that the active participation of Taiwan compatriots is a full affirmation of the effectiveness of the Strait Forum, as well as the confidence and driving force for the relevant institutions across the straits to continue to run the forum well, and all sectors across the straits fully affirm this. The peaceful development of cross-strait relations is the overall trend of history, and the strong desire and forward pace of communication and cooperation among compatriots on both sides of the strait cannot be stopped by any individual or force. The Democratic Progressive Party authorities, out of political self-interest, have come out each year to smear and attack, and this year they have stepped up their efforts to restrict and obstruct people from all walks of life in Taiwan from participating in the Strait Forum, but the more they make trouble, the more they fail.
