On June 17th, in response to the change in business registration information, Walmart China stated that the change in licensing information is a normal and compliant update of company information, and does not involve adjustments in business operations, equity, or company strategies. According to Tianyancha App, on June 15th, Walmart Investment Limited underwent a change in business registration, with MUK SOOK YEE stepping down as legal representative and chairman, and Liu Peng taking over. MUK SOOK YEE had previously assumed the position of chairman in January 2025. Walmart Investment Limited is the headquarters of Sam's Club, established in April 2003 with a registered capital of approximately 330 million US dollars, fully owned by Walmart China Limited.
