The "2026 Douyin Anti-Fraud Thousand-Mile Journey" activity was launched in Beijing recently. At the event, the relevant person in charge of Douyin introduced that in response to the high incidence of online fraud targeting the elderly, the platform has upgraded the "Elderly Mode" and added anti-fraud risk warning functions. When elderly people aged 60 and above activate this function and encounter high fraud risks, the system will notify their emergency contacts to provide their children with the "golden time" to intervene. At the same time, the platform has further upgraded the "Verification Assistant" and, relying on AI models and the Agent risk control system, enhanced the system's ability to identify and block new types of fraud. It is reported that this year, Douyin has assisted public security agencies in successfully cracking down on 34 cases involving fraud, with 165 arrests; it intercepts abnormal requests in video submissions, comments, and other scenarios 15 million times per day, and provides reminders to users through various channels 7 million times.
