US stock market opens: three major stock indices rise and fall unevenly

The Dow rose 1.15%, the S&P 500 rose 1.32%, and the Nasdaq was flat. Western Data rose 10.12%, Seagate rose 9.91%, 21st Century Fox fell 13.20%, Fox-B fell 11.08%, and Facebook fell 9.04%. Among the "Seven Sisters": Meta Platforms rose 2.66%, Amazon rose 2.60%, Google rose 2.25%, Nvidia rose 1.96%, Tesla rose 1.48%, Microsoft rose 1.45%, and Apple rose 0.73%.
