According to Agence France-Presse, a diplomat said the United States and Iran will hold indirect talks in Doha this week to prepare for the formal signing of an agreement aimed at ending the Middle East conflict. Qatar will mediate the talks and will host separate meetings with the US and Iranian delegations to establish the technical framework. The purpose of this meeting is also to resolve any remaining major differences and finalize the text of the agreement expected to be signed on Friday. Once this issue is resolved, the signing ceremony will take place in Switzerland on June 19. Following that, there will be 60 days of technical level negotiations on Iran's nuclear arrangements/promises. Analysts suggest that at this stage, the Doha talks are just a formality. Only significant obstacles could disrupt the process from now on.
