Singapore's marine fuel sales rebounded in May, reaching a two-month high.

The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore announced official data on Monday, showing that the number of vessels calling at the port has rebounded, leading to a rise in marine fuel sales in May after a decline the previous month, reaching a new high in two months. As the world's largest bunkering hub, Singapore recorded a total marine fuel sales of 4.55 million metric tons in May, a 4.5% increase from April, but still a 6.8% decrease compared to May of last year. The number of vessels refueling in May increased by 7.3% to 3,690 vessels, with container throughput also rising by 4.9% to 3.94 million twenty-foot equivalent units. The overall mainstream traditional marine fuel sales remained stable, with some categories seeing an increase. Low-sulfur marine fuel oil sales reached 2.29 million metric tons in May, a 4.7% increase from April, while high-sulfur marine fuel sales remained steady at 1.79 million metric tons.
