The Guangdong Market Supervision Administration recently held an event for the signing of the self-discipline charter and collaborative governance agreement for online catering platforms. At the event, witnessed by relevant officials from the Guangdong Market Supervision Administration, the online catering platforms Meituan, Taobao Flash Sale, and JD Food Delivery jointly signed the "Guangdong Province Network Catering Industry High-Quality Development and Food Safety Self-Discipline Charter." The full text of the charter consists of five chapters and twenty-one articles, focusing on the core requirements of implementing food safety responsibilities for network catering service operators as stipulated in the General Administration of Market Supervision Order No. 123. Specific provisions are made regarding platform responsibilities, management of online catering merchants, care for delivery personnel, and social governance. It is the first time that the establishment of a cross-platform "blacklist" sharing mechanism has been proposed to implement cross-platform joint constraints on seriously illegal merchants and achieve "one violation in one place, restricted across the entire network."
