Vietnam imports 73,000 tons of liquefied natural gas from Canada.
Vietnam Oil and Gas Corporation (PetroVietnam) released an email statement, stating that the company received approximately 73,000 tons of liquefied natural gas from Canada last Sunday and will receive 15,000 tons from Australia next week to ensure domestic gas supply for power generation. The total import volume of liquefied natural gas in the first half of the year will reach 354,000 tons. The company is currently arranging suppliers for the follow-up LNG shipments in early July. The company also purchased 45,000 tons of liquefied petroleum gas from the United States. The total signed contracts for liquefied petroleum gas from June to July amount to 140,000 tons.
