According to the China Automotive Power Battery Industry Innovation Alliance, in May, China's total exports of power and energy storage batteries reached 29.3GWh, a decrease of 7.6% compared to the previous month, and an increase of 53.7% year-on-year, accounting for 16.1% of the total sales in that month. Among them, the export volume of power batteries was 20.1GWh, accounting for 68.7% of the total exports, a decrease of 0.6% compared to the previous month, and an increase of 48.7% year-on-year; the export volume of energy storage batteries was 9.2GWh, accounting for 31.3% of the total exports, a decrease of 19.9% compared to the previous month, and an increase of 66.2% year-on-year. From January to May, China's total exports of power and energy storage batteries reached 145.1GWh, an accumulated year-on-year increase of 41.0%, accounting for 18.5% of the total sales. Among them, the accumulated export volume of power batteries was 97.2GWh, accounting for 67.0% of the total exports, with an accumulated year-on-year increase of 47.8%; the accumulated export volume of energy storage batteries was 47.9GWh, accounting for 33.0% of the total exports, with an accumulated year-on-year increase of 29.0%.
