China Telecom and Huawei release the achievement of "industry's first implementation of multi-node MESH networking with 50ms deterministic recovery in WSON". Focusing on the direction of building the original technology source of China Telecom's "next-generation optical network", the jointly developed "highly reliable WSON optical network system" has completed the world's first 50ms deterministic recovery verification for multi-node mesh wavelength-switched optical networks. Wavelength-switched optical networks are the core infrastructure supporting key services such as computing power interconnection, cloud-network integration, and dedicated lines for government and enterprises. This technical verification built a complex 8-node MESH network topology, with the farthest service transmission link reaching 660 kilometers, and simulated multiple consecutive fiber break faults. Measurement data shows that the highly reliable WSON optical network system can achieve stable 50ms deterministic rapid self-healing in demanding scenarios such as long distances, multiple routes, and continuous faults, demonstrating the feasibility of large-scale deployment and commercialization for operators' existing networks.
