Source: The White House will meet with defense contractors again to discuss accelerating weapons production.
Sources said that the Trump administration plans to meet with top executives of the largest defense contractors in the United States at the White House as early as next week to discuss speeding up weapons production. The U.S. strikes on Iran, as well as the recent military aid to Ukraine, have led to a decrease in the U.S. weapon stockpile. This will be the White House's second time convening major defense industry executives to discuss increasing weapon production. Previously in March, a similar meeting was held with Secretary of Defense Esper, as well as CEOs and other executives from BAE Systems, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, RTX Corporation, Boeing, Honeywell Aerospace, and L3Harris Technologies.
