The Iranian Armed Forces' Central Command, Hattam Ambya, issued a statement early today (June 11th) local time, stating that due to the turbulent security situation in the region, the Strait of Hormuz will be closed for all types of vessels including oil tankers and commercial ships starting today. Any vessel attempting to pass through the strait "will be attacked."
