According to the Wisdom Financial News APP, based on the analysis of official monthly and hourly electricity generation data by the think tank Ember, in May, the solar energy generation in the United States exceeded coal-fired generation for the first time. The data shows that in May, the proportion of solar energy generation in the U.S. power supply reached a record high of 12.8%, while the proportion of coal-fired generation fell to 12.2%, the fourth lowest monthly share in history. Natural gas remains the main source of electricity, accounting for 37% in May.
