According to the Zhitong Finance and Economics APP, the China Automobile Dealers Association disclosed that in May 2026, the national second-hand car market trading volume was 1.6016 million vehicles, a 4.17% decrease from the previous month and a 0.15% decrease year-on-year, with a total transaction amount of 105.015 billion yuan. From January to May, the cumulative trading volume of second-hand cars was 8.0948 million vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 2.30%, an increase of 182,300 vehicles compared to the same period last year, with a total transaction amount of 531.373 billion yuan.
