According to the release from Jilin, on May 29, 2026, under the support of the supercritical polymerization industrialization technology independently developed by Changchun Yinghua Institute, the world's largest single set of polypropylene carbonate industrialization plant - the Lianghonggerun 50,000 tons/year project was successfully put into operation. This marks the realization of the research results of CO-based plastics that have been developed for more than twenty years, from small-scale testing, pilot testing to a 50,000-ton industrial plant, closing the gap in the global 50,000-ton PPC industrialization plant and indicating that China's carbon dioxide-based biodegradable materials have officially entered a new stage of large-scale production.
