According to Israel's N12 channel, Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich is expected to urge the security cabinet to focus Israel's response on Lebanon rather than Iran, believing that whenever Iran launches a missile, Israel should destroy dozens of buildings in the Dahiye neighborhood of Beirut. Smotrich stated that this response would be easier and more effective, putting pressure on Hezbollah to push Iran to stop its actions and allowing Israel to maintain the ability to launch larger strikes against Iran when necessary.
