According to the State Administration for Market Regulation, recent breakthroughs have been made in the registration category expansion, registration of special medical purpose formula foods for rare diseases, and clinical accessibility in China. Currently, 330 special medical purpose formula foods have been approved for registration in China, covering all product categories and all age groups, basically meeting clinical nutrition needs. In addition, 35 urgently needed special medical purpose formula foods have been publicly announced to be included in the priority review and approval green channel, covering various new category products. One new registration for a tumor total nutrition formula food has been added, further enriching the supply of nutrition support products for cancer patients. 5 domestically produced special medical purpose formula foods for rare diseases have been approved for registration through the priority review and approval green channel.
