National Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters has initiated a Level IV emergency response for flood prevention in Fujian, Guangdong and Yunnan.
According to the forecast of the China Meteorological Administration, from June 8th to 9th, there will be heavy to torrential rain in the central and western parts of Fujian, Guangdong, and Yunnan provinces, with some areas experiencing severe, locally very severe rainstorms. There is a high risk of mountain torrents, geological disasters, floods in small and medium-sized rivers, as well as urban waterlogging. In accordance with the "National Flood Control and Drought Relief Emergency Plan" and relevant regulations, the National Flood Control Headquarters initiated a level four flood control emergency response for Fujian, Guangdong, and Yunnan provinces at 10:00 on June 8th.
