Huawei Cloud promotes the large-scale application of medical AI.

At the 2026 Huawei Cloud INSPIRE Innovators Conference held on June 5, more than 20 top third-class, prefecture-level, and county-level hospitals officially joined the Huawei Cloud "Industry AI Dream Factory" Smart Healthcare Zone, marking the nationwide implementation of intelligent pathology solutions. In response to the challenges of a large shortage of pathologists in China and weak diagnostic capabilities at the grassroots level, the RuiPath pathology large model, jointly developed by Ruijin Hospital and Huawei, can cover 90% of common cancer types. With the support of edge-cloud collaboration technology, network bandwidth requirements are reduced by 85%, allowing grassroots hospitals to complete AI-assisted diagnosis with existing equipment, enabling high-quality pathology capabilities from top third-class hospitals to be extended to county-level areas, accelerating the inclusive development of medical AI.
