China Galaxy Securities stated that in May, high temperatures and early rainfall reduced demand in the cement market; the national clinker kiln shutdown rate was slightly lower than in April, relieving pressure on cement clinker supply, and inventory saw a slight increase; some regions tentatively raised prices, but actual price increases were lower than expected, leading to a continued decline in cement prices in May. Looking ahead, in June, supported by high coal costs, companies will continue to try to raise prices, but weak end demand will limit cement price increases. It is expected that in the short term, cement prices will continue to trend weaker due to fluctuations.
