In order to further deepen the special rectification of highlighted problems in the management of medical insurance funds, in 2026, the National Healthcare Security Administration will continue to deploy a special action nationwide to crack down on illegal and irregular practices in the field of medical insurance drugs, continuously purifying the environment for the use of medical insurance funds. Starting from May 14, 2026, the National Healthcare Security Administration will conduct special spot checks on the illegal and irregular use of medical insurance funds in designated retail pharmacies nationwide. In order to enhance warning education, four typical cases discovered in the special spot checks will be announced.
