The first successful case of a blind person regaining sight through a brain-machine interface in the country.

The Xiangya Hospital in Changsha, Hunan successfully used an invasive brain-computer interface to restore sight to a female patient who was previously blind. The patient can now accurately identify black pathways on the ground and walk independently.
