Emmanuel Macron is preparing to use a dinner at the Palace of Versailles to charm Donald Trump.
On June 6, Japan's Current Affairs Agency cited a report from the American magazine Politico that French President Emmanuel Macron is planning to host a dinner at the Palace of Versailles on June 17 for visiting US President Donald Trump. The report stated that the G7 Summit will be held from June 15 to 17 in vian-les-Bains in eastern France, and in order to prevent Trump from leaving midway back to the US, the host country France is trying to use the magnificent Palace of Versailles to keep Trump in attendance. The report mentioned that during last year's G7 Summit hosted by Canada, Trump left midway back to his country. Although Trump has made it clear that he will attend this year's summit, considering the deteriorating relationship between him and the European leaders in the G7 due to issues like the conflict with Iran, it cannot be ruled out that the scenario of an early departure as it happened last year may happen again.
