According to the financial news app, after a one-month consultation, S&P Dow Jones Indices announced on Thursday that its index committee has decided to maintain the current rule that companies must have positive net income in the past year (including the most recent quarter) in order to be included in the index. This means that super IPO candidates like SpaceX are expected to face a long road to inclusion in the S&P 500 index.
