Democratic Republic of Congo Ministry of Health: Ebola epidemic continues to spread in communities

The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Congo released a report on the 5th stating that as of the 4th, the total number of confirmed cases in the current Ebola outbreak in Congo has risen to 452, with 82 deaths. The report said that on the 4th, 71 new confirmed cases were reported in Ituri Province and North Kivu Province, indicating that this round of the epidemic is still experiencing rapid and sustained community transmission. The report also showed that a total of 258 patients are currently in isolation or hospitalized for treatment, with 8 individuals having recovered.
