Today, the independently developed global ocean phenomena intelligent forecasting large model "Langya" 2.0 by the Institute of Oceanology, Chinese Academy of Sciences was released. This ocean forecasting large model will provide intelligent technological support for ocean disaster prevention and mitigation, maritime safety guarantee, and other related areas. In the past, global ocean forecasting relied on numerical models, which transformed ocean movement processes into numerical equations and obtained results through large-scale calculations. This method is relatively low in accuracy, high in computational cost, and has a low update frequency. The intelligent forecasting large model mainly solves two problems: one is to calculate faster, and the other is to calculate more accurately.
