The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran issued a statement stating that at 1:30 am local time today (June 6), "four illegal oil tankers attempted to illegally leave the Strait of Hormuz without coordination and in disregard of the warnings of the Revolutionary Guard's navy under the instigation and command of the US military." After issuing a warning, the Revolutionary Guard intercepted one of the tankers and the rest of the violators turned back. The statement said that at 2:00 am, a US drone fired on a communication facility on Iran's Geshm Island and the port of Sirik. In response to the US aggression, the Revolutionary Guard Aerospace Force immediately launched ballistic missiles targeting the US Air Force base in Kuwait and the key facilities of the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain. The statement emphasized that Iran warned the enemy that "if such evil actions are repeated, limited responses will no longer be sufficient and the enemy will have to bear the consequences of the complete interruption of oil and gas exports through the Strait of Hormuz."
