Middle Finger Research Institute: In May, residential rent in 50 cities continued to decline month-on-month, with a decrease approaching the lowest level in nearly three years.
According to the research institute, in May, there was a period of declining rental demand nationwide due to the end of the post-Chinese New Year migration season and the upcoming college graduation season. Rental demand for residential properties overall decreased, with rents in 50 cities dropping slightly compared to the previous month, but the decline was at the lowest level in nearly three years. The divergence between cities has further intensified, with Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Tianjin, and other areas continuing to show strong rental recovery capabilities.
