After replacing the chief automotive analyst, J.P. Morgan's view on Tesla has turned bullish. J.P. Morgan recently appointed Rajat Gupta as the automotive analyst, who raised the price target for Tesla to $475 and upgraded the stock rating to "hold". Former analyst Ryan Brinkman had been advising to sell the stock since 2015 and had predicted the price to drop to $145 by the end of the year. Gupta had previously worked under Brinkman and in a report published on Friday, he emphasized Tesla's "unique vertical integration advantage" and stated that this advantage is "currently underestimated and misunderstood".
