The Japanese Diet passed the supplementary budget for fiscal year 2026 on the 5th. As a result, the Japanese government's originally expected surplus in the basic fiscal balance has turned into a deficit. According to the budget, the total amount of the supplementary budget is approximately 3.11 trillion yen, of which about 2.5 trillion yen is allocated for the "Middle East situation reserve fund."
