In order to ensure the safety, smoothness, and success of the national unified entrance examination for ordinary higher education institutions in 2026, according to the unified deployment of the Inter-Ministerial Joint Meeting of the National Education Unified Examination Working Group, the National Public Security Organs and Education Departments will always maintain a "zero tolerance" attitude, further strengthen collaborative linkage, comprehensively enhance the security and defense of the college entrance examination, adhere to the highest standards, strictest requirements, and strongest measures, strictly crack down on illegal activities related to the examination, discover and investigate each case, never tolerate any wrongdoing, resolutely safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the majority of examinees, and make every effort to ensure the safety and orderly conduct of the college entrance examination in 2026. The public security organs and education departments hereby solemnly remind all examinees to strictly abide by the examination rules and regulations, take the exam with integrity, and any attempt to commit illegal activities related to the college entrance examination will face severe penalties under the law. In accordance with the "Regulations on the Handling of Violations of National Education Examinations", examinees who cheat in national education examinations may have their scores canceled or be temporarily suspended from taking exams. In accordance with the "Criminal Law of the People's Republic of China", those who organize cheating in the college entrance examination may be sentenced to imprisonment for up to three years or detention, and may be fined; if the circumstances are serious, they may be sentenced to imprisonment for more than three years but less than seven years, and may be fined; those involved in the crime of organizing cheating in exams, taking exams on behalf of others, selling or using wireless cheating equipment, illegal production, sale, or use of eavesdropping devices, illegal operation, and disruption of radio communication management order, will bear criminal responsibility.
