On June 5th, Xiaopeng Motors issued a statement denying the reports of a fire related to a Xiaopeng vehicle in Pingdu, Shandong on June 4th. The company immediately reviewed and analyzed data from the vehicle at the scene, but found no information related to the vehicle overheating and losing control. Earlier reports suggested that on the evening of June 4th, a Xiaopeng vehicle caught fire in Pingdu, Shandong while charging in a courtyard.
