The Minister of Finance of Indonesia, Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, stated that Indonesia's assets remain stable, and economic growth is solid. "I am a bit confused. Since there is sufficient economic stimulus, ample liquidity, and adequate credit growth, why do people say that the Indonesian economy is heading towards a recession?" he said at a press conference. He stated that Indonesian assets are stable, with funds flowing into government bonds and the central bank's monetary operations tool SRBI. "Although there was capital outflow from the stock market in the second quarter, the overall net amount remains positive. This dispels many doubts," he added, noting that the amount of funds flowing into Indonesian bonds and SRBI remains significant.
