Serbia and Russia Natural Gas Supply Agreement Extended until the end of September.
On the 4th, Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy Hrananovi stated after meeting with the Chairman of the Management Board of Gazprom in Saint Petersburg, Russia that the natural gas supply agreement between the two countries will be extended for another 3 months until September 30th, after expiring on June 30th. Hrananovi said that this decision will allow Serbia to continue receiving stable and discounted natural gas supply, which is crucial for the Serbian economy and people. The meeting also involved discussions about the expansion of the natural gas underground storage facility in northern Serbia, which will increase its capacity from the current 450 million cubic meters to 750 million cubic meters.
