ADP heats up, small business hiring intentions cool down! The U.S. employment data "fight", the market closely watches the May non-farm report.
According to the latest data released by the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) in the United States in May, the percentage of small businesses planning to hire new employees or indicating difficulty in filling job vacancies has reached the lowest level in six years. NFIB stated on Thursday that after seasonal adjustments, the percentage of small business owners planning to create new jobs in the next three months has decreased by 4 percentage points to 9% compared to April; at the same time, the percentage of small businesses indicating difficulty in filling job vacancies has decreased by 5 percentage points to 29%. Both of these indicators have reached their lowest levels since May 2020.
