Cuban President responds to US sanctions: shortsighted actions will be met with firm retaliation.

On the 4th local time, Cuban President Diaz-Canel responded through social media to the comments made by US President Trump that day regarding Cuba, as well as the inclusion of himself and multiple individuals and organizations in the sanctions list by the US Treasury Department. Diaz-Canel pointed out that these measures by the US aim to further strengthen the blockade against Cuba and exacerbate the confrontation between Cuba and the United States. Diaz-Canel stated that this politically short-sighted approach, along with a series of coercive measures taken by the US against Cuba in recent weeks, is all aimed at harming the interests of the Cuban people. Diaz-Canel emphasized that the aggressive and reprehensible actions of the US government "will face our firm determination to resist imperialist aggression."
